All meetings of the Board of Education shall be open to the public as required by law. Regular meetings shall include an opportunity for the public to address the Board. Anyone desiring to address the Board should notify the Board President or the Superintendent five days prior to the meeting in order to be placed on the agenda. The request should be in writing with the purpose clearly defined. When addressing the Board, statements should be brief and the chairperson may limit statements and discussion as necessary to facilitate the orderly completion of the agenda. Groups desiring to address the Board should elect a spokesperson. However, no action will be taken except in an emergency as defined in the Open Meeting Act. (Board Policy #102) |
